Born in Mozambique, my life has been filled with different experiences influenced by the cultures of Africa, Portugal, Spain and Macau. I grew up under the influence of my mother's artistic passion and my father's family's military approach to life.

When the political climate changed with the Carnation Revolution and Portugal started decolonizing, my family moved from Mozambique to Lisbon in 1974.

Looking for new opportunities, we left Lisbon behind and settled in Macau in 1987. After some doubts, I made Macau my new home.

Here, I started my romance with photography.
